Natural and beautiful view are commonly visited by people in whenever area. However, sometimes people should visit some places that contain of historical things. Museum is the right place to do it. In Netherland, it is known the Rijksmuseum as the largest museum. In English it means The State Museum. Rijksmuseum is famous from the art and historical things of the Netherland therefore it makes this place becomes one of the buildings that must be visited among the tourism places. The museum was opened firstly in 1800 as the National Art Gallery. In 1815, the name was changed by the King of the Netherlands Louis Bonaparte. After moving for several times, in 1885 Rijksmuseum was stated and moved to today’s building. The building was designed in Renaissance styles by the architect P. J. H. Cuypers.
Since the opening, Rijksmuseum has undergone many changes and renovations. The large renovation project was done at 2010. They built an incredible building at the northern part of Museum Square, which is often said as the best spot to visit. Under the renovation, there were so many additional collections; the masterpiece and other great works in 17th century. So, what things that you can see in Rijksmuseum? Rijksmuseum is specially purposed to display any treasures and arts. The Dutch Maters are the art masterpiece from 17th century that can be found in this museum. Visitors can see many interesting collections since 15th until 19th century, mostly the works from Dutch painters. Besides, there is a display of variety of Dutch artifacts therefore the visitors can enjoy their adventure in exploring the history of Netherland. Traditional porcelain, furniture, jewelry, textiles and others are something that can be enjoyed in the museum.
